Congratulations to Dr. Cameron Ford!
Last night I attended the Grand Opening of the University of Central Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. (CEI) This facility, which is dedicated to assisting students, faculty and staff of UCF, is another example of the vision, support, and dedication, that our hometown university has shown toward building economic development, and entrepreneurial growth for Central Florida.
UCF does not just talk the talk about supporting entrepreneurs; they truly back it up with action, funding, resources, and engagement! Attending...

NO Bailout for You, Mr. Ross!
As instructed, this morning I called Chase mortgage company to learn what plans were finalized for those clients of Chase who regularly pay their mortgages, and were current on their payments… the good loyal customers of Chase. It was not as encouraging as when I call to pay my mortgage.
I was on hold for most of the hour while I was shuffled from department to department, hung up on, dumped into a voice mailbox, and told, “that my perception was not reality.” My mistake was that I dared to inquire if Chase could reduce my mortgage...

Choices
…“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference” Those words come from a poem by Robert Frost and it describes the choices we all make. What if he had taken the road more traveled? Would that have made all the difference too? We live our lives by our choices, the good and bad ones affect our daily lives and ultimately, we will be required to take responsibility for our own choices, deal with the consequences, and then prepare to make the next choice that will soon be presented.

Last night I attended the Orlando Magic basketball game and it was great! The Magic blew out the Chicago Bulls and it was never really close…just the way I like it. The real Dr. Laura. (my wife) was supporting the charity fundraising efforts of the Honors Institiute at Seminole Community College by selling tickets to the game. So we bought tickets and joined a whole bunch of SCC fans to cheer on the Magic while raising money for two charities. The Seminole County Meals on Wheels program which delivers meals to the elderly, and the Free the Slaves organization, which works for prevention...

While I try to operate on the ABC method most of the time, I am told repeatedly that this is the most dire, critical, unbelievably worst economic time known to modern man, so I am feeling the need to add a few more items for surviving these especially unique times. So, I will add D, E, and F and then call it quits on this ABC exercise...
